Wikipedia Neighborhoods

Wikipedia is building it's list of neighborhoods in San Francisco and could use some help, particularly with Bayview, Cathedral Hill, Polk Gulch, Portrero Hill, and others. Aspiring writers, check it out.

SF Bay Shops

An interesting new website covering Union Square/North Beach area shopping has been launched. You can see a few sample listings here or here. They do a pretty good job of letting you know where the good stores are in the Union Square area, particularly stores that I didn't know existed before.

North Beach

O'Reilly's Irish Pub & Restaurant only opened a couple months ago, but it's already gathered more praise in the local papers than any restaurant that I can remember. In a town known for some of the best food in the world, this place is quickly becomming the buzz around town. If you're looking for good Italian food, you should check out Bacio, inside the Hotel at Nob Hill.

Tonight, of course, is Thanksgiving, and in the city with perhaps the most vegetarians in the Western world, some friends and I are going to try to find a good place to dine. North Beach may just be were we find it. Look out for an Italian Thanksgiving meal! Those of you feeling philanthropic this year might check out the Don't Stop the Music! campaign helping local musicians this season.
